Orientation flights
-
LESC provides prospective members an opportunity to experience the "Joy of
Soaring" by taking advantage of a 20 to 30 minute orientation
flight. You'll be seated in the front of one of our two place sailplanes
piloted by one of LESC's FAA licensed pilots.
You'll enjoy a smooth, relaxing and safe 20 to 30 minute flight over the
Elsinore Valley while enjoying the view of the many mountain peaks visible as
well as an occasional view of Catalina Island.
You'll soar at 50 mph and have an opporunity to actually take the controls if
you wish, under the guidance of your Pilot in Command. You'll experience
firsthand the "Joy of Soaring"
and if you're as excited about soaring as we are, you can learn about joining
LESC. Ornate gift certificates are also available which make excellent gifts.
Orientation flights may be scheduled via telephone or by dropping by the
clubhouse. LESC collects a nominal fee of $6000
for orientation flights to cover expenses.
