| SSF and HQ CAP have worked together to provide an on-line tow pilot course with the purpose of providing standardized tow pilot training to aid in developing safe and competent tow pilots. The course can be accessed from the SSF distance learning page and is available to all in the soaring community. We would like to thank all the individuals who contributed to the course. | ||

When Homeland Security needed a crop duster and pilot for a film being put together by the Pentagon, LESC stepped in to help. Steve Wood was the lucky guy who was in the seat when the decision was made, so he got to play the part of the disgrunted Vietnem Veteran who was hired by a couple of terrorists to spray some "bad stuff" on unsuspecting citizens. The terrorists were played by actors, but real US Customs Agents and Riverside Sherrif Offciers demonstrated how they take down the bad guys.
